Blockfin Asia 2016 preconference — ideal rendezvous for global Blockchain and Fintech enthusiasts Blockfin Asia preconference has been successfully rolled out on June 15th 2016 thanks to joint effort between Bitcoin Vietnam and Cardano Labo Vietnam team. Around 100 participants brought an incredibly energetic vibe to Hard Rock Cafe (39 Le Duan, Ho Chi Minh city). Welcome to Blockfin Asia 2016!Coming from all walks of life, Blockchain engineers, Bitcoin and IT enthusiasts and students gathered to enjoy an impressive talk lineup ranging from Blockchain-inspired disruption to international transactions, Wall Street technical applications to Blockchain-based asset trading to the making of Bitcoin Heist movie — the very first movie about Bitcoin in Vietnam and also the most popular Vietnam movie during 2016 Lunar New Year period. Pre-conference event started with the speech by Roger Ver — arguably the most famous Bitcoin evangelist so far. By demonstrating swift Bitcoin transaction on the spot and addressing questions from audience on pragmatic application of Bitcoin in real life transactions, Roger immediately drew people’s attraction towards the potentials of Blockchain and Bitcoin in the future. Consequently, Simon Dixell and Anson Zeall helped the audience to visualize perspective disruption of Blockchain technology to spearheading industries of the world such as transfer services and investment and financial services. The perspective scope, products and services of Blockchain to these industries have been put down to number with actual case studies from a number of successful Bitcoin and blockchain startups, which further positive perspective from the plenary for blockchain and bitcoin technology. Cardano Labo Vietnam (CLV) team have taken the stage for the next hour starting with video message from Charles Hoskinson — ex-CEO of Ethereum and Director of IOHK. Widely heralded for his contribution to the Ethereum and blockchain community, Charles expressed his honor to talk with Vietnamese audience and positive remarks on Vietnam’s economy perspective plus he also introduced impressive project lineup of CLV team. Throughout the next presentation by Junya Yamamoto — Chief Operating Officer and Nicole Nguyen — Marketing Team Representative of CLV, the audience was briefly introduced about the context, features as well as perspective challenges to blockchain development. Tone Vays from BraveNewCoin explained in technical details how Wall Street technique and blockchain technology can be combined to leverage their own advantages. The next session of interviewing Blockchain Heist cast followed up with interactive magic performance and real life discussion into the cast’s career before and after the movie. Thanks to its success, the director is planning to shoot Part 2 from next year and undoubtedly the audience was inspired to enjoy the movie afterwards. The preconference concluded with movie session at BHD Tower. General feedback from the plenary was positive and enthusiastic. People have started gearing up for the main conference on June 16th where Blockchain and Fintech picture will be expanded to cover other mainstream aspects.
